It’s been a great 3 years here at MyClean, although getting to where we are now hasn’t been the easiest road. The story of MyClean is closely tied to the spaces we’ve worked out of, which is why we’re happy to announce that we’ve taken another big step forward and moved into a brand new office over the weekend!
The new space is beautiful, and it certainly was a long time coming. When we started in 2009, we worked in the corner of the office of our good friends at Venue Tap. We basically had 4 people working from a single desk. It was very New York City. We took a big step forward in 2012 when we moved into our own space on West 36th Street, which was huge. Not that the space was huge, but the move was a big deal! That space was great, but there were still a few things left to be desired, especially because that office didn’t have any windows. We housed everyone in that small space for almost a full year, and during that time we went from having 4 full-time employees to 11. Plus we went from having around 30 cleaners to around 100. We were growing by leaps and bounds, so clearly we needed to find a new space. And now we have one.
Last Friday we completed our move across the street – we went from West 36th Street to West 35th Street, so it’s literally across the street – and the change is incredible. Not only do we have about eight times as much space, we have huge windows and enough room for everyone. For a start-up, this is no small thing! We feel like this new working environment will help us work harder for you and make everyone’s day brighter, so we’re very excited about finding the perfect office for our company!
This is just another step towards great things for us, and we look forward to what the future has to offer. It’s hard to believe that 3 years ago we worked out of a single desk and had 4 cleaners, and now we have this beautiful space and over 125 cleaners on our payroll. We couldn’t be happier to be here, and we’re already feeling right at home!
